The 7 habits

The 7 habits.
Stephen R.Covey

  • We must look at the lens through which we see the world, as well as at the world we see
  • Being positive is not enough
  • The only person I know, is the person I want to be
  • It's impossible for us to break the law, we can only break ourselves against the law
  • We see the world not as it is, but as we are.
  • When air is charged with emotions, an attempt to teach is often perceived as a form of judgment and rejection.
  • A habit is the interest of knowledge, skills and desire.
  • Happiness - in part at least - the fruit of the desire and ability to sacrifice waht we want for what we want eventually
  • As you care less about what people think of you, you will care more about what others think of themselves.
  • Each of us guard a gate of change that can only be opened from the inside.
  • we're responsible for our own lives.
  • Our behavior is a function of  our decisions, not our conditions.
  • You carry your own weather with you, whether it rains or shines.
  • No one can hurt you without your consent.
  • They cannot take away our self respect if we don't give it to them.
  •  Until a person can say deeply and honestly: "I'm what I'm today because of the choices I made yesterday" that person cannot say: "I choose otherwise".
  • The carpenter rule: "Measure twice, cut once".
  • Leadership determines whether the ladder is leaning against the right wall.
  • Never compromise with honesty.
  • The key to the ability to change is a changeless sense of who you are
  • We detect rather than invent our mission in life.
  • Ultimately, man shouldn't ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather recognize that it's he who is asked.
  • Begin with the end in mind
  • He that's good with a hammer tends to think everything's a nail.
