Fight Club

Fight Club
Chuck Palahniuk

That's why I loved support groups so much, if people thought you were dying, they gave you their full attention

It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.

I don't want to die without any scars.

This is your life and its ending one moment at a time

The things you used to own, now they own you.

This is a dream. Tyler is a projection. He's a dis-associative personality disorder. A psychogenic fugue state. Tyler Durden is my hallucination.

"Remember this", Tyler said, "The people you're trying to step on, we're everyone you depend on. We're the people who do your laundry and cook your food and serve your dinner. We make your bed. We guard you while you're asleep. We drive the ambulances. We direct your call. We're cooks and taxi drivers and we know everything about you. We process your insurance claims and credit card charges. We control every part of your life. "We are the middle children of history, raised by television to believe that someday we'll be millionaires and movie stars and rock stars, but we won't. And we're just learning this fact".

As long as you're at fight club, you're not how much money you've got in the bank. You're not your job. You're not your family, and you're not who you tell yourself.. You're not your name.
